Abstract: This paper deals with strategic aspects of doing contemporary business in the industrial market. It identifies the key resources needed to create customer value and examines theoretical aspects of marketing management of production based on core competencies. The paper justifies the need to develop an innovative business model of a contemporary industrial enterprise as one of the conditions for getting competitive advantages.
